On the 23rd of August 2024, our pre-primary was filled with joy and devotion as we celebrated Sree Krishna Janmashtami. The little ones came dressed as beautiful Krishnas and Radhas, adding a vibrant touch to the occasion. Our classrooms transformed into a festive haven with colorful decorations of peacock feathers, flutes, and butter pots, symbolizing Lord Krishna’s playful nature.
The day began with a warm welcome and a short prayer, invoking blessings for the well-being of our dear children. The little ones participated in a cultural program that included melodious songs and bhajans. We also organized a “Matka Phod” activity, a fun and safe version of the traditional Dahi Handi, where the children took turns trying to break the clay pot. Laughter and excitement echoed throughout as they eagerly participated in this delightful event.
The celebration concluded with the distribution of prasad, an offering shared with all, symbolizing love and togetherness. It was a day of learning, joy, and spiritual enrichment for the children, helping them understand the significance of Sree Krishna Janmashtami in a playful and engaging manner.
